Job Description UW Medical Center‑Montlake – has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse for our Pre Anesthesia / Pre Surgery Department. Work Schedule Days Evenings Weekends Full Time Department Description Our Pre‑Anesthesia Clinic RNs provide a complete assessment of the patient and address medical issues to reduce the risk of complications of anesthesia during surgery. Pre‑op teaching is also part of the patient visit. The Pre‑Anesthesia Clinic will complete assessments for 60+ patients/day which is done as a clinic visit, phone interview or a chart review. Nurses receive in‑depth specialty training to perform a complete pre‑anesthesia evaluation. Responsibilities Assessment and nursing diagnosis of patients Care planning Patient teaching Discharge and transfer planning Admission, discharge and transfer processes Requirements 2 years current recent Critical Care experience, Emergency or PACU Phase I and/or Phase II PACU experience preferred Active Washington State RN License or applicable Multi‑state RN license About UW Medical Center – Montlake UW Medical Center is an acute care academic medical center located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
