Managed Services Engineer

Salary: $60,000 - 70,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for 3-5 years of experience troubleshooting Microsoft Windows endpoints in domain environments.
• We require 3-5 years of experience in an IT service desk role.
• We prefer 1-3 years of experience in an MSP environment.
• We prefer 1-3 years of experience in a customer-facing IT consulting position.
• We prefer 3-5 years of experience in systems administration.
• We prefer 3-5 years of experience in network administration.
• We require an associate degree in a technology-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• We need a customer service-oriented skill set.
• We require advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating system.
• We require basic knowledge of network printing, antivirus software, Microsoft Windows Server administration, Mac OS, and mobile operating systems including Apple iOS and Android.
• We prefer a bachelors degree in a technology-related field.
• We prefer basic knowledge of SonicWall, Juniper, and Ubiquiti networking infrastructure, ConnectWise Manage, VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, and backup software.
• We prefer one or more certifications such as A+, Network+, Server+, Microsoft Azure, or Microsoft O365.
• A drivers license is required.
• We require the ability to pass a drug test.
• We require the ability to commute to Gainesville, GA 30501, and relocation before starting is preferred.

• We respond to automated ticket alerts, both critical and non-critical.
• We monitor and manage tickets in our ticketing system for client-submitted requests.
• We acknowledge and respond to tickets in line with our managed services SLA.
• We handle client call-in requests through a phone queue.
• We review monthly client reports and provide resolutions based on the findings.
• We escalate tickets to internal teams and client IT departments when needed.
• We carry out proactive maintenance such as switch, firewall, and router upgrades, server and workstation patching, and firewall rule updates.
• We provide remote application and hardware support for switches, routers, firewalls, servers, and storage.
• We monitor and analyze customer networks, systems, backups, and security appliances.
• We coordinate with customers primary field engineers to complete work as needed.
• We may project manage internal department initiatives from time to time.
• We contribute to and improve internal process and system documentation.
• We follow departmental and client-specific policies and procedures.
• We train customers and colleagues in both formal and informal settings.
• We maintain documentation of customer technical information, including procedures, servers, applications, infrastructure, and remote support instructions.
• We participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend support, with additional compensation.
• We perform other duties as assigned.

We are a managed services team providing a broad range of IT support, from desktop and application assistance to basic administrative work for servers, networking, and firewall equipment. We support multiple customers in a fast-paced environment where technical ability and customer service both matter. This is a full-time, in-person role based in Gainesville, GA, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. The pay range is $60,000 to $70,000 per year depending on experience, and our benefits include dental insurance, health insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance.
