MedSurg Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 4x12 hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), including weekdays and 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MedSurg Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exemplary care on a 34-bed medical/surgical unit with telemetry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Monitor patient progress and document in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
• Handle emergency situations by initiating appropriate protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a MedSurg setting.
• Current RN license (West Virginia or Compact) required; pending license accepted for submission.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
