You’ll work with businesses of 1–99 employees—the entrepreneurs powering local economies—helping them succeed with essential HR, payroll, and compliance solutions. Through trusted partners like CPAs and client referrals, you won’t just sell—you’ll build relationships, unlock opportunities, and make a real impact. Responsibilities What You’ll Do Generate new business through referral partners and outbound outreach Build relationships with CPAs and existing clients to drive new logos Execute high-volume daily activity (calls, follow-ups, and partner touchpoints) to build pipeline Sell a full suite of solutions: payroll, HR, benefits, retirement, and compliance Manage a fast-paced sales cycle (1–2 weeks) with small business owners Own the full process—from prospecting to closing deals What It Takes To Win Early-career sales professionals with 1-5 years of relevant experience. Comfort with high activity, fast cycles, and transactional deal sizes Resilience, drive, and competitive motivation Coachability and ability to quickly apply feedback Experience working toward goals or quotas (sales or similar environments) and demonstrated leadership experience—whether through work, school, nonprofits, fraternities/sororities, clubs, or other organizations (for example, serving as a treasurer, team lead, or project lead) Why This Role Uncapped earning potential + performance incentives and award trips Rapid skill development in a high-volume, high-growth sales environment Strong access to opportunities through referral-based selling Real impact helping small businesses grow and stay compliant Qualifications H.S. Diploma - Required Bachelor's Degree - Preferred 2 years of experience in relevant sales capacity. Valid Drivers License - Required Compensation In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the compensation range for this position is typically $55,000 - $85,000 . This range includes BOTH base pay plus commissions but does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
