In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.Hours: Tuesday-Saturday 9am-5:30pmOverviewThe Recycling Associate is a utility position responsible for maintaining the facilities and overseeing recycling operations. This role requires a versatile individual capable of handling multiple responsibilities, ensuring the smooth operation of facility maintenance tasks, and managing recycling processes efficiently.Primary ResponsibilitiesEnsure cleanliness and orderliness of the facilities, including waste management and recycling areasManage recycling operations, including the collection, sorting, and processing of recyclable materialsOperate and maintain can crushing machinery and other recycling equipmentMonitor inventory levels of recycling materials and order supplies as neededEnsure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all activitiesAssist in developing and implementing facility maintenance schedulesCoordinate with external vendors for facility repairs and maintenance servicesProcess and sort redemptions in compliance with state regulations.Sort, load, and inventory vendor commodities for state reporting.Coordinate customer redemptions within mandated timelines.Repack damaged goods and maintain inventory quality standards.Assist with unloading and segregating route trucks.Maintain CRC and warehouse cleanliness to company standards.Additional Primary ResponsibilitiesPrepare reports on facility maintenance and recycling activities for management reviewProvide support in emergency situations such as equipment breakdowns or facility issuesTrain new employees on facility maintenance procedures and recycling operationsCollaborate with other departments to optimize recycling processes and facility operationsParticipate in regular safety meetings and training sessionsPerform other duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentValid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)Experience in facility maintenance and repairAbility to operate recycling equipment and machineryStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication and instructional skillsBasic knowledge of safety regulations and practicesPhysical DemandsPhysical demands include a considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stoopingMust be able to frequently lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 48 poundsMust be able to regularly sit and operate machinery such as a forklift, pallet jacks, and battery change stationsWork may involve repetitive motions, working at varying heights, and exposure to warehouse environmental conditionsExtended hours, overtime, weekends, and peak?season schedules may be requiredEEO StatementSouthern Glazer's Wine and Spirits, an Affirmative Action/EEO employer, prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type and provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
