General Facilities Technician - Multi-Skilled Maintenance

Developmental Technician – General Facilities and Maintenance Location: Olathe, KS Overview: Walmart is expanding its workforce and is actively recruiting Developmental Technicians specializing in General Facilities and Maintenance. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining the safety, functionality and aesthetics of our stores, equipment and fixtures under the guidance of the local Market Manager. Key Responsibilities Assist or perform primary responsibilities under supervision of an experienced technician. Maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and assets utilizing multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, food equipment). Use hand and power tools to complete jobs. Utilize the work order management system to receive and document reactive repair work orders for stores and associates. Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment or fixtures to diagnose issues. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls. Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely. Minimum Qualifications 18 years or older. High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to move up and down ladders and work at heights. Ability to sit or stand for long periods. Comfortable working in various temperatures. Valid Driver’s License (Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus). 1 year experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade, or 2 years Walmart store experience. Excellent driving record. Benefits and Compensation Full-time position with hourly wage $16.00 – $28.00 per hour, plus variable premiums up to $3.00 per hour.
