NMC Health is seeking a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (PRN) to join our Imaging Services team. In this role, you'll work under the supervision of the Imaging Department Medical Director to provide high-quality, patient-centered care using advanced ultrasound technology.

Were looking for a compassionate, service-minded professional who can care for patients of diverse backgrounds. Independent decision-making, critical thinking, and a strong team spirit are key to success in this role. You may also be assigned as a lead in a specific modality, with responsibility for delegating tasks appropriately.

What You Will Do:
  • Perform diagnostic sonographic procedures with accuracy and professionalism.

  • Focus on patient comfort and safety during all imaging procedures.

  • Collaborate with the care team and support staff across departments.

  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation and records.

  • Support and maintain high clinical standards for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.

  • Associates or bachelors degree in an Allied Health field.

  • 12 years of experience preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply.

Licenses & Certifications (Required or Preferred):

  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) Abdomen, OB/GYN, Breast. Required.

  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Required.

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) Preferred.

  • BLS/CPR Certification Required.

  • Additional registries may be required depending on modality assignment.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.

  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

  • Excellent attention to detail and recordkeeping abilities.
