As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a crucial role in evaluating patient outcomes and making necessary adjustments to care plans. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of respiratory care. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing explanations and instructions to patients and their families about respiratory disease processes and interventions
Accepting reassignment to other units as needed
Sharing clinical knowledge with staff and students, serving as a role model for clinical practice
Planning, implementing, and evaluating the effectiveness of respiratory care
Delivering respiratory care as ordered by physicians, maintaining communication with medical and nursing staff

Requirements for this role include:

Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
Illinois Respiratory Therapist License
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Need 1 year experience in setting
