Job Title: Yard Lead (Warehouse / Inventory / Construction Yard)

Pay: $22–$25 per hour + Monthly Bonus Potential

About Us

Barnsco, a newly acquired QXO company , is a leading distributor of construction materials, equipment, and supplies. We are growing in the Dallas, TX market and are looking for a dependable, hands-on Yard Lead to help drive operational excellence in our yard and warehouse environment.

Position Summary

The Yard Lead supports the Yard Supervisor in managing day-to-day yard operations, warehouse workflow, and inventory control . This role is ideal for someone with experience in construction supply, warehouse leadership, shipping and receiving, and inventory management who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy
• Monitor and report inventory discrepancies
• Oversee shipping and receiving of materials and equipment
• Verify packing slips, bills of lading, and delivery documentation
• Maintain organized inventory and filing systems
• Use inventory management software / warehouse systems to track materials
• Support efficient yard flow, staging, and product organization
• Assist with scheduling and team coordination to ensure coverage
• Promote lean processes and continuous improvement
• Assist with month-end, year-end inventory, and audit preparation
• Partner with leadership to reduce shrink and improve processes
• Provide guidance and support to yard and warehouse team members

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations, yard management, or construction supply distribution
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with inventory systems, cycle counting, and stock control
• Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and inventory reports
• Strong communication and team leadership skills
• Basic math and computer skills
• Forklift experience preferred (or willingness to obtain certification)
