The Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Coordinator I is responsible for managing inventory activities at customer locations. This role involves delivering, stocking, scanning, and maintaining inventory levels to ensure materials are available when needed. The ideal candidate should have warehouse, inventory, logistics, or delivery experience and be comfortable working in a customer-facing environment.
The associate will support inventory accuracy, perform cycle counts, replenish vending machines, deliver VMI materials to designated points of use (POU), and maintain organized inventory areas while following safety and company procedures.

The Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Coordinator I is responsible for managing inventory activities at customer locations. This role involves delivering, stocking, scanning, and maintaining inventory levels to ensure materials are available when needed. The ideal candidate should have warehouse, inventory, logistics, or delivery experience and be comfortable working in a customer-facing environment.
The associate will support inventory accuracy, perform cycle counts, replenish vending machines, deliver VMI materials to designated points of use (POU), and maintain organized inventory areas while following safety and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and set up inventory at customer locations.
- Fill vending machines and replenish inventory items at designated points of use (POU).
- Scan barcodes to track inventory usage and generate customer orders.
- Perform inventory counts, cycle counts, and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Monitor minimum/maximum inventory levels and recommend adjustments.
- Ensure barcode labels are accurate, updated, and readable.
- Organize and maintain VMI areas using 5S principles.
- Receive shipments, stock materials, and verify inventory against orders.
- Support customer requests and communicate inventory concerns to management.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas and properly use required equipment.
- Provide professional customer service while representing the company.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in warehouse, inventory, logistics, material handling, or delivery operations.
- Ability to perform inventory counting and maintain accuracy.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory scanning systems.
- Ability to read and follow written, verbal, and diagram instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Positive attitude with strong teamwork and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and move materials (typically up to 30 lbs;job may require handling heavier inventory occasionally).
- Comfortable with walking, standing, bending, reaching, and physical inventory tasks.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Equivalent warehouse, logistics, inventory, or related work experience will be considered.
