Japanese Bilingual Accounting Manager

Our client a Japanese Energy company is seeking a Japanese bilingual accounting manager for their Houston office. Employment: Full-time, Exempt; Hybrid Salary 130-160K base + bonus Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and cost analyses Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes Review financial information and accounting transactions for accuracy Support financial reporting and consolidation for subsidiaries Perform variance analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities and financial risks Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and financial modeling Support income tax provision calculations, tax reconciliations, and tax-related projects Maintain accounting procedures, internal controls, and financial documentation in accordance with US GAAP Coordinate with subsidiaries, external accounting/tax firms, and internal finance teams Support external audits and technical accounting research Participate in BPR, system implementation, and finance process improvement initiatives Prepare management reports and presentations for senior leadership and HQ Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support special projects Requirements: Strong US GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and accounting/ERP system experience Analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, organized, and comfortable working independently and cross-functionally 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Preferred: CPA/CMA, SAP or similar ERP/consolidation system experience, budgeting/forecasting experience Language: Business-level English; Japanese proficiency strongly preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr TOP Group - Japanese Recruiting Agency
