Overview As the Principal Team Leader Environmental, Health and Safety, you will lead development, standardization, and governance of Corporate EHS programs by translating regulatory and company requirements into programs that mitigate EHS risks, build a culture of safety and much more to ensure Chick-fil-A Supply facilities comply with all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Responsibilities Set network‑wide EHS strategy, governance, and compliance management systems to ensure consistent execution across all distribution facilities; lead the design and oversight of scalable programs, standards, and processes that embed compliance into day‑to‑day operations Ensure full regulatory compliance and proactive risk alignment by maintaining deep expertise in OSHA, EPA, and other applicable requirements; partner with Legal and industry groups to anticipate regulatory changes, assess organizational impact, and operationalize updates across the network Lead enterprise risk management and hazard mitigation programs by establishing frameworks to identify, assess, prioritize, and reduce EHS risks; oversee emergency preparedness, critical incident escalation, contractor safety, and the deployment of effective controls that minimize operational and regulatory exposure Drive data‑informed performance and continuous improvement through enterprise KPIs, dashboards, analytics, and audit/inspection programs; evaluate trends, measure control effectiveness, and translate insights into action plans that improve EHS performance across the network Build and lead a high‑performing EHS culture by developing leaders and teams, strengthening capability in risk identification, incident investigation, and prevention, and partnering cross‑functionally with Operations, HR, Legal, IT, and Risk Management to reinforce accountability and safe work practices Own EHS policy, standards, and management systems by ensuring policies, SOPs, training, and regulatory documentation remain current, effective, and aligned with applicable laws, business requirements and recognized frameworks Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities) Bachelor’s Degree (Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Environmental Science, or another related field) or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience (6+ minimum years) from which comparable skills can be acquired Extensive knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations, Ergonomics, Success in development and implementation of effective EHS programs and measurement tools Experience with management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001, OSHA VPP) Experience with one or more of these areas: Process Safety Management (PSM), Risk Management Programs, Electrical Safety Experience with Environmental Information Management Systems Leadership Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities) 10+ years of relevant experience Required Years of Experience 6 Preferred Years of Experience 10 Travel Requirements 30% Required Level of Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Required Major/Concentration Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Environmental Science, or another related field Relocation Assistance Provided No #J-18808-Ljbffr Chick-fil-A Plainfield, Indiana
