Desired Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure or eligibility as a School Social Worker
• Prior experience in an educational setting preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills to engage with students, parents, and faculty
• Demonstrated knowledge of crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
• Ability to create and implement individualized student support plans
• Compassionate, flexible, and committed to student advocacy

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct individual and group counseling for students experiencing social, behavioral, or academic difficulties
• Serve as a resource for teachers and staff on improving the overall school climate
• Collaborate with families, community agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate services
• Develop intervention strategies in response to student and classroom needs
• Participate in IEP meetings and assist with compliance documentation as required
• Facilitate educational workshops and prevention programs for students and staff
• Support transition planning for students moving between grade levels
