Claims Specialist

Are you a driven, dedicated Claims Analyst looking to get your foot in the door with a stable organization based here in the Cincinnati area? What you will be doing as the Claims Analyst: Manage entire claims function including collection of proofs of death, claim calculation and payment, and the pending claims in accordance with policy provisions and state laws. Prepare claim file (including print policy application & other documentation for claim processing). Complete claim jacket form & Texas spreadsheet when applicable. Occasional investigations and formulating recommendations for policy rescission. Verify claim payment, and prepare disbursement journal entry for approval and payment by accounting. Terminate policy in the policy administration system, enter payee and cause of death Prepare files for image and audit imaged files. Handle death claim calls from agents, funeral homes and clients (includes calculating and quoting death benefit, suspending policies for death, etc.) Follow- up on pending claims for outstanding documents Answer main customer service line Policy research Update claims checklist What you will need as the Claims Analyst: Associates Degree or equivalent work experience 3-5 years life insurance experience and/or LOMA matriculation is desirable Strong verbal and written communication skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excellent Customer Service skills Self-starter, comfortable working in fast paced environment #J-18808-Ljbffr AQUARIUS
