Palma Ceia is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dishwasher to support our award-winning culinary team. In this hands-on role, you'll be essential in keeping our kitchen running smoothly, ensuring everything sparkles, every tool is where it belongs, and the highest standards of cleanliness and safety are upheld. Your Daily Contributions (Essential Duties): Wash, dry, and properly store all kitchenware, service ware, utensils, and equipment. Operate dishwashing machinery and follow sanitation guidelines to ensure thorough cleaning. Polish silverware, platters, and chafing dishes to a shine. Maintain spotless cleanliness across the dish station and kitchen areas. Inspect and clean dishwashing machines; report malfunctions promptly. Sort, collect, and properly dispose of kitchen waste; break down boxes and minimize clutter. Deep clean kitchen equipment, stainless steel, and food storage areas. Maintain floors - sweep, mop, and keep all kitchen pathways safe and debris-free. Use PPE and cleaning chemicals safely and according to label instructions. Support team during service by prioritizing dishwashing of key items. May assist with food prep, storing deliveries, or cleaning storage units. Attend kitchen staff meetings and contribute to a positive work environment. Complete weekly cleaning and maintenance checklists. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands: Repetitive motion and physical activity: lifting (25–30 lbs), bending, kneeling, crouching, and standing for extended periods. Ability to perform physically demanding work safely and efficiently in a high-volume kitchen. What You’ll Need to Excel (Minimum Qualifications): Three to six months of relevant kitchen or cleaning experience. Understanding of sanitation procedures and safety standards.
