Posting Details Posting Number: 0801838 Classification Title: Counselor Working Title: Department: Counseling Center Department Contact Email: View email address on click.appcast.io Duties and Responsibilities Provide individual counseling to students with a variety ofpsychological and developmental concerns Participates in case consultations Makes referrals to community mental health services Coordinates efforts with other student affairs programs and theacademic community and the University Lead group discussions on a regular basis with students,faculty and staff members Design, organize and present workshops specific to femalepopulation Conduct group sessions for alcohol and other drugviolations Make classroom presentations on a wide range of counseling andmental health topics Develop education material related to the counselingservices Assist in program planning for the Counseling Centeractivities Maintain up to date case files and tracking system for JudicialAffairs students Submit monthly progress reports detailing student contact andoutreach activities Arrange visits to community referral agencies Plan professional development activities with the Director,Counseling Services Collaborate with students, faculty, staff, and community topromote mental health awareness Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Minimum Qualifications Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work orrelated field preferred. Licensure of LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) or LSW(Licensed Social Worker) or Certified Chemical DependencyCounselor) required. Must have experience in substance abuse counseling, providingstudent outreach services and experience in working with male andfemale populations.
