Systems Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Systems Engineer for a contract position with a Global Medical Technology Company located in Weston, FL. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This is an individual contributor role responsible for providing leadership for products and projects that involve multi-disciplinary engineering teams. The Systems Engineer will play a role in all aspects of a product lifecycle from concept through market release and sustaining, translating stakeholder needs into concepts and ensuring design meets user requirements through various system engineering techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership for products and projects involving multi-disciplinary engineering teams
• Work to understand stakeholder needs and clinical use during the concept phase
• Translate needs to concepts and new inventions
• Ensure the design meets user needs through requirements identification and decomposition
• Utilize system engineering techniques such as traceability, architecture, modeling, trade studies, simulation, and budgeting
• Lead system integration and verification efforts

Requirements:

• University degree or an extensive amount of practical knowledge gained through experience
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Understanding and application of procedures and concepts of the discipline
• Ability to make judgements based on practice and previous experience
• Excellent communication, creative problem-solving, and leadership skills

Desired skills:

• Experience with mechatronic systems
• Knowledge of motion control systems
• Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems
• Experience in systems development and prototyping

Pay range: $43.24 - $53.24 per hour
