Sr. Software Systems Engineer

POSITION DUTIES

Write, analyze, review, and rewrite programs using workflow chart and diagram; Perform revision repair, or expansions for existing programs to increase operating efficiency and adapt new requirements; Compile and write documentation of program development; Consult with managerial, engineering, and technical personnel to suggest changes.

POSITION DUTIES

Provide project management to ensure completion on time, within budget, and within scope of IT security projects. Define project scope, duration, and resources. Responsible for project scheduling, tracking issue management, risk management, change management, and status reporting. Plan and coordinate work with teams and business resources. Guide and participate in design and development of security software.

RATE OF PAY

$99,549.00 per year The employer will pay or exceed the prevailing wage as determined by the U.S. Department of Labor

Design and develop solutions to Complex Software Systems problems and system administration issues. Perform systems engineering and software systems integration. Identify systems data, hardware, and software components necessary for software systems business requirement needs. Communicate with users to understand system business requirements and conduct analysis of such requirements. Design and conduct testing of software systems.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

10+ years relevant experience in working with MS SQL Server –2008/2008R2/2012 is mandatory Very strong experience in RDBMS concepts, DB design, modeling of OLTP/DW systems Hands‑on experience in MSSQL Server Programming Should be able to understand/design the data model Should have experience in data model tools e.g. ERWIN Understand the star schema and snowflake schema Creating tables, views, stored procedures and functions Creating indexes to improve database performance Reviewing query performance and optimizing code Technical support to resolve support issues Experience on data warehousing is preferred Hands on experience with SSIS is a plus Having working knowledge in any of the reporting tools would be an added advantage (e.g SSRS, Power BI etc.) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Distinct quality mindset and service attitude Ability to work under pressure and against deadlines Strong team spirit with the ability to work both independently and in virtual team settings Ability to manage own learning and contribute to functional knowledge building
