Property Overview Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico is a premier resort located on the oceanfront coast of Rio Grande. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Maintenance person, highly motivated and detail oriented, to join our team as a Maintenance Engineer. The successful candidate will perform a variety of maintenance trade functions—including installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, HVAC, painting, wall repair, tile work, and upkeep of the resort’s preventative maintenance program—and collaborate closely with team members. Responsibilities Perform general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Conduct general electrical repairs on appliances, house wiring, air conditioning systems, switches, fixtures, and motors. Repair plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, and sanitary systems. Repair woodwork, wall vinyl, doors, windows, carpeting, and related areas. Perform mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment. Maintain logs of completed tasks and submit reports to supervisors in a timely manner. Carry out all instructions and tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor and fulfill position responsibilities. Qualifications High School Diploma. Valid Puerto Rico driver’s license. Knowledge of basic repair skills (plumbing, electricity, painting, etc.). Previous experience in a maintenance role at a hotel or resort. Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Physical ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push and pull throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Compensation Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, years of experience, certifications, and specific office location.
