Manufacturing Production Supervisor

Manufacturing Production Supervisor III Location: Denver, CO 80216 Shifts: 1st Shift: 6am to 2:30pm / 2nd Shift: 2pm to 10:30pm / 3rd Shift: 10pm to 6:30am Days: To be decided as management is currently developing a schedule. Associates may be required to work weekends, potentially at least one day each weekend. Interview: Candidates will have a panel interview. Is there a possibility this assignment will be extended? Yes Is there a possibility this assignment will convert to full time employment? Yes Position Purpose Responsible for the coordination of various manufacturing and warehouse functions within a single large, complex and fast paced production facility to drive maximum financial results and deliver a quality on-time product for customers. Key Responsibilities Develop, monitor, and ensure timely completion of plant goals/action plans, both short and long term. Utilize new technology and lean manufacturing principals and processes available to maximize efficiency. Promote development of cost saving initiatives. Develop a work environment within manufacturing that promotes trust, teamwork quality and safety. Ensure production of a quality product in compliance with Safeway, Federal and State guidelines. Ensure regulatory compliance as appropriate (OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, Etc.) Minimum Qualifications 2 or more years of leadership experience in a production environment 1 of more years' experience working with Lean Manufacturing principles Preferred Qualifications Strong leadership background ability to direct a diverse unionized workforce Ability to manage and develop employees Availability willingness to work hours and holidays Strong skills Working knowledge of MS applications including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point and ability to grasp additional business-related applications.
