Job Description AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for the Columbus or Cleveland, Ohio , or Raleigh, North Carolina office. This position is expected to begin in May 2027. Internships at AECOM offer students in undergraduate and graduate programs the opportunity to gain valuable hands‑on experience in engineering, design, and infrastructure projects that make a real‑world impact. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Build analytic and design skills. Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Using computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems. Performs work per agreed budget and schedule under supervision. Qualifications Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, and/or related field, and must have completed at least three years of study . Candidates who have graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship. Preferred Qualifications: Assist in the production of all phases of the design process. General knowledge of architectural and engineering drawings. Some Knowledge of Revit or BIM Software. Knowledgeable in the Microsoft Office Suite of programs. Well organized and possesses an innovative mindset. Additional Information Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
