Quick Facts Location: Dayton Children’s Plaza, Dayton, OH 45404 Start Date: 04/28/2026 End Date: 11/16/2026 Shift: 07:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday Hours/Week: 35 hours Employment Type: Locum/Temporary Licenses/Certifications: Ohio Medical License, DEA, CAQH login preferred Experience: Pediatric anesthesia, supervising CRNAs, 2+ years recommended Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: Competitive hourly pay (discussed upon application) Benefits: Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Reimbursements: mileage, rental car, hotel, flights, travel costs when applicable Robust referral bonus program 24/7 dedicated support from VHS team What You’ll Do Provide anesthesia care for a variety of surgical cases from neonatal to adult patients in a hospital setting Supervise CRNAs in a team-based care model Manage an average of 50-60 surgical cases daily Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, nurses, and other proceduralists Ensure patient safety and compliance with hospital policies and protocols Maintain documentation and complete all necessary anesthesia records flawlessly What You Need Active Ohio medical license and DEA certification Minimum of 2 years of pediatric anesthesia experience Ability to supervise CRNAs in a team setting Strong communication skills and patient-centered approach Certification in ACLS, BLS About the Assignment This assignment is at a busy ACS Level 1 Trauma Center in Dayton, Ohio, with a collegial team of anesthesiologists, nurses, and surgical staff. The facility performs 50-60 cases daily, providing comprehensive anesthesia services across a diverse patient population. The role offers a balanced schedule in a supportive environment, ideal for experienced pediatric anesthesiologists seeking flexible locum work.
