Temp Pharmacy Technician - Clearwater, FL

Job Description

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Soliant Health is currently recruiting Pharmacy Technicians on behalf of a retail/mail order pharmacy located in the Clearwater, FL area. This opportunity is open to non-hospital techs, so experience within retail, specialty, mail-order, long-term care, and closed door are welcome!

Position Details:
•Start Date: ASAP
•Duration: 13+ weeks
•Shifts: Mon-Fri; 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

• Requirements:
-Florida Pharmacy Technician License: Must be active and in hand at time of submission – firm requirement
-Must have at least 2+ years of recent pharmacy technician experience. (Retail, closed door, mail order, or long-term care is acceptable. No hospital).
-High School diploma or GED required
-PTCB preferred, but not required
-Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills
-Ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and internal teams.

• Responsibilities:
-Process prescriptions, handle insurance adjudications, and resolve rejections
-Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verifications
-Perform data entry, manage prescription paperwork, and communicate with patients and prescribers
-Maintain accurate inventory through daily cycle counts, restocking, and expirations reviews
-Assist with returns, medication quarantines, and destruction processes
-Cross-train in various pharmacy functions and support department needs as required
-Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations
