About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Float within the hospital as needed, including to the Cardiac ICU (CVPICU/CICU), based on census demands; travelers are among the first to float when census decreases and are notified at the start of their shift
• Adhere to scheduling requirements including every-other-weekend (EOW) availability and a minimum of 2 holiday shifts worked during the contract
• Utilize Epic electronic health records for charting and documentation
• Complete an onsite background check and fingerprinting on the first day of assignment; results may impact employment

• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required; exposure to CICU is strongly preferred
• Active RN license required at time of submission - single-state Ohio license or valid compact (multi-state) license accepted
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Must be fully vaccinated - no exceptions
• First-time travelers are eligible; 2 years of specialty-specific experience is still required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; candidates residing within 50 miles will be considered local and local rates will apply
• Previous employees of this facility are ineligible to apply within 1 year of their termination date
• No previous license hits - clean background required

• Experience with cardiac ICU (CICU/CVPICU) patient populations
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Flexibility with scheduling, including willingness to work all weekends to accommodate blocked schedule requests (Friday-Sunday)
