We are looking for an Order Packer to join our Talley team in Woodridge, IL!

Work shift: 10:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. Monday - Friday

What You'll Do:

• Perform a final quality check to verify that the orders/transfers/vendor claims provided to the packing area are 100% accurate in line with the order requirements
• Report any discrepancies per established procedures
• Input data entry to accurately document the items and quantities included in each packing transaction
• Prepare and package all outbound orders carefully to ensure the merchandise is sufficiently protected from in-transit loss or damage
• Apply packaging labels / attach packing lists and stage completed orders for shipment manifest
• Identify expedited requirements and prioritize the processing of those needs accordingly
• Assist in the training of new packing staff and other less experienced packers
• Report any unsafe work practices or accidents to the supervisor in a timely manner
• Conduct packing supply inventory checks and ensure that stock levels of packing supplies are maintained
• Displays strong work ethic and honesty and adheres to all company policies and procedures
• Engages in work with a high sense of urgency, highly organized and detail-oriented
• Be open to change and deal calmly and effectively with high-stress situations

What You'll Need:

• 5+ years in a similar position / parallel working environment utilizing a handheld barcode scanner and desktop PC applications
• High School or GED - Preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to safely operate a pallet jack, tape machine, and other ordinary tools essential to perform the job
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and bend/reach overhead
• Must learn and understand Talley's Big Goal and align yourself to its principles, values, and stated mission

• Sit: Must be able to remain in a stationary position - Occasionally up to 20%
• Walk: Must be able to move about inside/outside office or work location - Constantly at least 51%
• Use hands to finger, handle, or feel: Operates a computer and other office machinery - Constantly at least 51%
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl: Must be able to crouch down to stock shelves, pick up boxes, or position oneself to maintain computers in the lab/under desks/in server closet - Occasionally up to 20%
• Climb or balance: Must be able to ascend/descend on a ladder, forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment - Occasionally up to 20%
• Talk, hear, taste, smell: Must be able to use senses to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients and detect hazardous conditions - Frequently 21% to 50%

Weight and Force Demands:

• Up to 10 pounds - Constantly at least 51%

Working Environment:

For the state of Illinois only, the base pay rate is from $18.00 - $21.00 hr., depending upon qualifications, experience, and other considerations permitted by law.
