Representative Role OverviewA leading middle-market or bulge-bracket investment bank may seek a Leveraged Finance Analyst to support leveraged loan and high-yield bond transactions, credit analysis, and client deliverables. These roles are ideal for candidates seeking rigorous financial and credit analysis experience, exposure to corporate financing transactions, and structured professional development.
Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain leveraged finance models, including LBOs, covenant analysis, credit metrics, and debt schedules
Conduct credit analysis, industry research, and benchmarking for leveraged transactions
Support live leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, refinancings, and acquisition financings
Prepare pitch books, credit memos, and client presentations
Assist with due diligence, covenant review, and transaction execution
Collaborate with senior bankers across deal structuring, client strategy, and financing workflows
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline
Strong skills in financial modeling, credit analysis, and valuation techniques
Excellent analytical, quantitative, and communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Prior internship or full-time experience in investment banking, leveraged finance, corporate banking, credit analysis, private equity, or audit is beneficial
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial research tools
