Dietary Manager Preferred Care MI, Flint, MI Job Summary As a Dietary Manager at Preferred Care MI, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well‑being of our patients by overseeing the daily operations of our dietary department. Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the dietary department, including supervising dietary aides and cooks, to ensure efficient and effective meal service Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of our patients, including those with special dietary requirements Conduct food safety inspections and maintain a clean and safe food environment Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure that patient needs are met and that meal delivery is timely and efficient Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and maximizing revenue Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and effective problem‑solving Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in food service management or related field preferred 1-2 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare setting Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and staff members Strong leadership and teamwork skills Familiarity with dietary software and electronic health records systems What We Offer Join our dynamic team at Preferred Care MI and enjoy a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.
