RN Psych | Milwaukee, WI Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated RN with psychiatry experience for a role in a fast-paced mental health emergency center in Milwaukee. The ideal candidate will have experience in crisis de-escalations, patient intake, and psychiatric emergencies, working primarily with adults and adolescents.

Assignment Details

• Facility Type: Free standing Mental Health Emergency Center
• Shift Details: 3x12 Nights
• Patient Ratios: RN: 1:2-3 (Days/Nights)
• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2268 (negotiable)
• Charting System: EPIC (preferred)
• Orientation: 3-5 days based on comfort level
• Weekend Rotation: Every other
• On-call Requirements: Yes, during low census time. Response time is 1 hour
• Holiday Expectations: Minimum of 2 major winter holidays
• Scrub Color: Business casual or any color scrubs
• Free Parking: Yes

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and discharge planning
• Handle crisis de-escalations
• Manage psychiatric emergencies, including acute psychosis and suicidal ideation
• Collaborate with security and physicians on-site
• Participate in energetic team-based care

Qualifications

Required:

• BLS Certification
• De-escalation certification (CPI/MOAB)
• Behavioral health experience
• Experience with assessment and discharge skills

Preferred:

• Experience with adolescents in a psychiatric setting
• Comfort using EPIC charting system
