Lead Child and Youth Program Assistant CY-02.

Responsibilities Lead the team and ensure staff provide developmental care and instruction for children and youth aged 6 weeks to 18 years. Implement a developmentally appropriate program that promotes the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of the children and youth served. Provide written instructions, reference materials, and supplies, and train staff in specific tasks and job techniques. Develop, plan, and implement age‑appropriate lesson plans, schedules, and activities based on observed needs and interests. Ensure staff follow health and safety standards, including diapering, toileting, hand washing, cleaning/sanitizing surfaces, food service, safe sleep practices, and care of ill children. Qualifications Minimum age 18 years, high school diploma or equivalent. Effective oral and written communication in English. Minimum of 18 months experience in group programs with children or youth with demonstrated knowledge of child development theories and principles. Completion of DoW standardized training, Child Development Associate (CDA), Military School‑Age (MSA) credential, or comparable education and experience as described. Appropriate immunizations, including influenza vaccine, and completion of required health screenings. Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
