Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation Clinical Dietitian – PRN/Flexible + Houston, TX Overview We are looking for a Clinical Dietitian with at least 2+ years of experience to provide consistent, flexible PRN nutritional care to patients with neurological injuries such as TBI/CVA. The role includes evaluating and providing personalized nutrition support, educating patients and families, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Who we are looking for: Clinical Dietitian with at least 2+ years of experience Experience evaluating and providing personalized nutrition support to patients with neurological injuries, such as TBI/CVA Educating patients and families on dietary needs, restrictions and healthy choices to support long-term health Collaborating and co‑treating within a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient‑centered nutritional care What you will receive: Flexible schedule created by you Paid per hour (not just per visit) In‑person, 1:1 therapy with indirect services completed from home (documentation/communication) Continuity of care as the primary therapist from evaluation to discharge Team collaboration & co‑treats Drive time reimbursed at your clinical rate + mileage reimbursement No weekend shifts Educational program access Growth/advancement opportunities Responsibilities Provide professional nutritional services in compliance with state practice act(s)/professional standards to meet individual patient needs; ensure adherence to applicable government laws, regulations, company policies, procedures and healthcare standards; work under general supervision. Interview patients and assess/evaluate their nutritional status; determine dietary needs and advise physician/nursing personnel. Consult with physician to establish dietary treatments/requirements; prepare and calculate therapeutic diets to meet specific patient requirements. Provide guidance to patients and family members to understand, accept and follow dietary modifications ordered by the physician; instruct on dietary restrictions and drug/nutrient interactions as appropriate. Observe patients’ responses to dietary treatment, note changes in condition and advise physicians/nurse supervisors and/or clinical coordinators; revise nutritional plan as appropriate based on condition and physician orders. Ensure confidentiality of patient files and documentation. Maintain/enhance clinical practice skills through staff development, continuing education programs. Participate in quality assessment and improvement activities; communicate information that enables data collection/root‑cause analysis to identify opportunities for improvement. Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct in relation to confidential information; share information only when the recipient’s right to access is clearly established and sharing is in the best interest of the patient. Adhere to and participate in the company’s mandatory HIPAA privacy program/practices and business ethics and compliance programs/practices. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Degree in nutrition required, or equivalent. Current registered dietician licensure/certification in the state(s) of practice required by respective state(s).
