Global Power BI Platform Director - Governance & Adoption

Position Overview Power BI Product Manager on EY’s global Microsoft 365 Apps team. The role provides product oversight, governance, and strategic direction of the Power BI platform, ensuring it is secure, well‑governed, performant, and aligned with EY’s broader data, analytics, and Microsoft Fabric strategy. Key Responsibilities Governance & Risk Management – Implement and oversee governance processes for workspace lifecycle management. Ensure deletion or remediation of old, unused, or orphaned workspaces. Maintain accurate ownership records across all assets. Establish strict controls for items shared “to everyone,” ensuring unused or high‑risk objects are locked down or removed. MyHub Implementation Support – Act as a key resource in the rollout of MyHub for Power BI, ensuring governance, data accuracy, and platform structure are established prior to launch. Drive adoption and ensure the new platform is embedded effectively across the organisation. Tenant Management – Oversee day‑to‑day and long‑term management of the Power BI tenant, monitor platform health, environment configuration, and capacity usage. Define and enforce operational standards to maintain a secure, robust, and scalable environment. Strategic Engagement with Microsoft – Maintain close collaboration with Microsoft to influence and understand roadmap developments, ensure new capabilities align with EY requirements, and lead internal readiness planning for major feature releases. Alignment with EY Fabric & Procurement – Partner with EY Fabric on integration points between Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, manage license allocations, optimise costs, and oversee licensing lifecycle, renewal processes, and consumption reporting. Adoption & Best Practices – Drive organisation‑wide understanding of Power BI best practices, support community enablement and education, and provide guidance to business stakeholders on how new roadmap features will be communicated and adopted. Skills and Attributes for Success Experience delivering and operating Power BI at scale across multiple regions or business units. Strong experience with Power BI platform management, including workspaces, governance, capacity, and tenant‑level configuration. Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously, recognising when to seek support and escalating appropriately. Strong understanding of risk management, data privacy, security, and user experience in an enterprise analytics environment. Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to engage and influence both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Strong documentation, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior audiences. Proven ability to build effective networks and trusted relationships across distributed teams. What We Offer A comprehensive compensation and benefits package, with base salary ranges in the U.S. from $116,300 to $217,500, and additional benefits including medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and paid time off. Hybrid work model – most clients‑serving roles work together in person 40‑60% of the time during engagements.
