Clinical Nursing Manager Med-Surg/Telemetry

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Nursing Director to lead the Med-Surg/Telemetry unit. This position oversees clinical, operational, and financial performance while ensuring safe, high-quality patient care. The Nursing Director will also support the development of nursing leaders and drive initiatives that improve patient outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Provide leadership and direction for the Med-Surg/Telemetry unit.
- Oversee staffing, quality, safety, service, and patient experience.
- Mentor nursing leaders using Evidence-Based Leadership practices.
- Collaborate with physicians, staff, and senior leadership to improve patient care.
- Lead performance improvement initiatives and manage departmental budgets.
- Ensure staff are competent in nursing processes and equipment use.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and optimize patient safety.
- Develop and coordinate orientation programs, continuing education, and in-services.
- Support departmental performance improvement activities, patient satisfaction, and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Bachelors in Nursing required; Masters preferred
- 5+ years of progressive acute care leadership experience
- Strong background in Med-Surg/Telemetry preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and implement quality initiatives
