Job Title: Domestic Logistics Coordinator — Import Company Company Overview: We are a growing import company handling international procurement and domestic distribution of firewood. We seek a detail-oriented Domestic Logistics Coordinator to manage local transportation, and warehouse coordination to ensure timely delivery to customers and retail partners. Location: Hasbrouck Heights, NJ Employment Type: Full-time Reports to: Logistics Manager Role Summary: The Domestic Logistics Coordinator will manage domestic movement of imported goods from port/warehouse to final destinations, coordinate carriers and warehouses, oversee scheduling and tracking, and resolve day-to-day operational issues to meet service and cost targets. Key Responsibilities Coordinate domestic FTL shipments between our 3PL warehouses to DCs, stores, and customers. Book and manage domestic carriers (truckload, LTL, drayage) and route shipments for cost and service optimization. Track shipments, monitor ETAs, and proactively communicate delays or exceptions to stakeholders. Schedule appointments with warehouses, docks, and retail receivers; manage unloading priorities. Prepare and maintain shipment documentation, bills of lading, and proof of delivery records. Work with customs/Import team to confirm cargo release and handoff timing. Collaborate with inventory/warehouse teams to ensure accurate receipts and cycle counts. Audit freight invoices, resolve billing discrepancies, and assist accounting with cost allocations. Required Qualifications 1–3 years’ experience in domestic logistics, transportation coordination, or 3PL operations. Knowledge of carrier types (TL, LTL, drayage), routing, and appointment scheduling. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Skills & Attributes Detail-oriented, proactive, customer-focused. Team player with good cross-functional collaboration.
