About the Position

Job Title: RN OR Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating shifts including Days, Evenings, and Weekends Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1-2 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: AHA BLS Must-Have: BSN & CNOR preferred, scrub experience preferred; experience with Mako and Davinci systems; basic aseptic technique; ability to circulate independently; multispecialty competence. Description: OR RN required for a Level III Trauma Operating Room setting. The position involves working Day, Evening, and Weekend rotations with a schedule of 40 hours per week. 1-2 rotations to weekends are required per 4-week schedule. 1-2 rotations to evening shifts (1 PM - 11:30 PM) will also be part of the 4-week schedule. On-call duties are a requirement for this role. The clinician to patient ratio is 1:1. The patient population includes pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. The average census is approximately 30-40 patients per day. Experience with Mako and Davinci systems is necessary. Certifications required include a Massachusetts RN License and BLS. Candidates must be capable of working rotating shifts and on-call schedules. Additional preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and certification in perioperative nursing.
