Standard Electric Supply Co. is a family-owned company that is celebrating 107 years of service. We are a wholesale distributor of electrical and automation supplies. We have 16 locations across Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana. About the Role:
We are seeking an Account Manager to join our team in Stevens Point. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing our customer base, while ensuring customer satisfaction. You will work closely with our sales team to identify and qualify prospects and develop and implement strategies to achieve sales growth. Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to build strong relationships with customers, provide exceptional customer service, and meet or exceed sales targets.
The compensation base range for this position is $80,000 - $85,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equavalient.
- Valid driver's license and personal transportation required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in account management or sales.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in account management or sales.
- Experience with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Familiarity with the electrical wholesale trade industry.
Responsibilities:
- Gain and demonstrate knowledge of the industry and products within assigned accounts and territory to provide customers with the appropriate level of support.
- Demonstrate understanding of market potential by increasing customer base and growing sales.
- Maintain and nurture supplier relationships to grow sales and increase industry and product knowledge.
- Utilize personal expertise and company resources to proactively determine customer's needs and respond with appropriate solutions in a timely manner.
- Use effective sales techniques to identify and qualify profitable sales opportunities.
