Systems Administrator

Overview:

We are currently hiring a Systems Administrator in Newport News, VA.

Description:

• Design, implement, and maintain complex Windows Server infrastructures, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.

• Linux Systems Operations: Configure, monitor, and actively troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers and environments. Serve as an escalation point for complex RHEL operational issues.

• Architect and manage large-scale virtualization environments, including VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, and cloud-based platforms.

• Design and implement converged infrastructure solutions, such as Simplivity, to optimize resource utilization and reduce costs.

• Develop and maintain advanced automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or other languages to streamline complex administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

• US Citizenship.

• Bachelor’s Degree. (A relevant professional certification can be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.)

• 8 years of relevant experience.

• Hybrid work schedule: 1st week training fully onsite, and then 2 days working onsite, 3 days remote.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $85.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
