This role supports mission-critical federal identity management programs and ensures compliance with federal cybersecurity standards, including FISMA and NIST. The position will be responsible for all aspects of system operation and maintenance to safeguard sensitive information and ensure high availability of services in a secure environment.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot systems, including hardware and softwareDevelop and engineer new hardware and software solutions to meet best practices, security, and compliance standardsSupport the deployment and configuration of hardware and softwareMaintain documentation of configurations, diagrams, and standard operating proceduresSupport and perform system upgrades, patching, and migrationsRequired qualifications:U.S. Citizenship requiredActive Top Secret security clearanceMonday - Friday, onsite in Manassas, VA10+ years of experience in system administration, engineering, information assurance, or cybersecurity roles (preferably supporting federal IT projects)5+ years of demonstrable experience in administering a highly available customer-serving infrastructureBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or Computer ScienceAdditional years of professional experience and IT certifications may be substituted for a Bachelor's degreeAn associate's degree, plus 4 years of experience, can equate to a bachelor's degreeDoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher compliant certification, e.g., GSEC, Security+Proven experience with Red Hat Linux AdministrationExcellent troubleshooting and communication skillsBe a self-starter who is not afraid to speak up and voice their opinions, as well as a skilled generalist who has the confidence to take on whatever projects are neededAbility to write clear, detailed, and accurate system documentationSignificant experience in one or more of the following areas:Supporting federal identity or credentialing systemsCloud (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environmentsWindows Server AdministrationRed Hat Certificate Services, Red Hat IDM, Red Hat OpenShiftPalo Alto FirewallsActive Directory AdministrationF5 LTM and DNSCisco switching and routingSplunkAnsibleVMwareCORTEX XDRNetScoutNetApp Storage AdministrationKeyfactorLDAPPKI / TLSNessus / Security CenterFISMASharePointTechnical WritingPlease note this position may require access to sensitive and/or confidential data, it is the responsibility of the employee to acknowledge and adhere to BE's Ethics and applicable security policies addressing the acceptable use of information system resources.BruckEdwards is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
