Product Repair Technician(Must have Electronics Certificate or BA/AA in Electronics )

Position : Product Repair Technician (Must have Electronics Certificate or BA/AA in Electronics) Location: San Diego, CA Duration: 12 Months Contract Total Hours/week: 40.00 Training will likely be on 1st shift (5:00/5:30AM - 1:30/2:00PM) for 6 – 8 weeks depending on trainee and certification of position (certification after trainee successfully demonstrates competence). Description Performance and merit increases are available as follows and are all performance/merit based Must have electronics certification or BA/AA in electronics - will need to provide copy of diploma for CFN to retain on site Military certification in electronics OK Product Support/Repair-Depot is responsible for troubleshooting technical problems, diagnosing, analyzing and/or repairing products Demonstrates basic knowledge of systems and products. Identifies basic system and product issues Identifies need for escalation. Is entry level with limited experience. Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques and procedures within one skill area / process / method. Maintains appropriate licenses / training / certifications, as needed Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps Has basic skills training in an analytical / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production) Works within clearly defined SOPs and / or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines Works with a high degree of supervision. Responsible for troubleshooting technical problems, diagnosing, analyzing and/or repairing products Demonstrates basic knowledge of systems and products. Identifies basic system and product issues. Identifies need for escalation Qualification & Skills Requires a High School diploma with an ASEE or AA desired, and 0-2 years of experience providing support in a biomedical discipline Basic understanding of MAC and PC operating systems. Basic knowledge of networking Basic knowledge of electronics Flow cytometry experience desired Working knowledge of data tracking systems such as SAP Effective verbal and written communication skills.
