Job Title: CT Technologist

License: KY license (can obtain prior to start)
Certifications: BLS, ARRT(CT)

Description:
The CT Technologist utilizes imaging, computer, and other equipment to produce and retain high-quality diagnostic images.
This role meets or exceeds department, organizational, and industry standards.
Demonstrates thorough knowledge of human anatomy and physiology as well as image quality.
Prepares patients for procedures and educates them while responding to questions or concerns.
Ensures age-appropriate communication, safety needs, patient education, and understanding of physical and functional growth and development.
Demonstrates skills in patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques.
Oversees and trains students providing patient care, treatment, and services as part of their training.
Verifies ordered exams' appropriateness using assessment data and principles of growth and development.
Administers contrast as directed and positions patients and equipment for optimal images.
Evaluates images with physicians to determine if additional images are needed.
Applies radiation safety techniques and devices to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
This role requires accountability for results while continually improving care and service.
