This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment, enjoys working as part of a team, and takes pride in delivering attentive and gracious service.This is an on-call position, with scheduling based on hotel and event business levels. Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts is essential.What You'll DoProvide warm, polished, and attentive service consistent with The Joseph, Marriott Luxury Collection, and Forbes Travel Guide service standardsSet up banquet rooms and event spaces according to banquet event orders (BEOs), diagrams, and established service standardsPrepare tables, chairs, linens, place settings, glassware, silverware, buffets, and service stationsWelcome guests and provide professional, personalized service throughout each eventServe plated meals, buffets, receptions, beverages, and other food and beverage offerings according to event specificationsAnticipate guest needs and respond promptly and graciously to requestsMaintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, beverages, and event detailsClear tables and maintain the cleanliness and presentation of banquet and event spaces throughout serviceAssist with resetting and breaking down event spaces at the conclusion of functionsCommunicate effectively with Banquet Captains, Culinary, Stewarding, and fellow team members to ensure seamless executionFollow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and hotel safety proceduresHandle banquet equipment, china, glassware, linens, and other hotel property with careDemonstrate flexibility and teamwork when event schedules, guest counts, or operational needs changePerform additional duties as needed to support successful events and the overall operationWhat We're Looking ForPrevious banquet, restaurant, catering, or hospitality experience preferredLuxury hotel, fine-dining, or upscale event experience is a plusStrong guest service and communication skillsProfessional appearance, demeanor, and attention to detailAbility to work efficiently while maintaining composure and gracious hospitalityStrong teamwork and willingness to assist wherever neededAbility to follow detailed instructions, BEOs, and established service standardsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods and safely lift, carry, and transport banquet equipment, trays, tables, chairs, and service items as requiredMust be available to work a flexible on-call schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and late-night events based on business needsMust meet applicable requirements for serving alcoholic beveragesWhy Join The Joseph?At The Joseph, banquet service is about more than serving a meal—it is about creating an experience.
