Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Job

We're hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Tallahassee, FL where you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The department operates across inpatient units including two 10-bed ICUs and manages a variety of ventilators and respiratory devices. You will collaborate with nursing and multidisciplinary teams to support patient care at the top of your license.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Current Florida state respiratory therapist license in good standing.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Minimum of one year experience as an RRT, with critical care and emergency care experience preferred.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP.
• Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP, aerosol treatments, and bedside ABG analyzers (e.g., Siemens EPOC) preferred.
• Documentation experience with Meditech preferred.
• Willingness to float throughout inpatient units.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Puritan Bennett 980, Philips V60, Vapotherm, or similar ventilators.
• Experience assisting with intubation, arterial line insertion, or bedside bronchoscopy assist.
• Previous work in a 24/7 acute-care hospital setting.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900-0700.
• Scheduling requirement: minimum of three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends.
• Floating policy: will rotate throughout all inpatient units.
