Contract Analyst

Thompson Gray is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Contract Analyst to join our team in Orlando, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of federal contracting regulations, policies, and procedures, with a sharp focus on compliance and effective contract management. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to deliver efficient, compliant, and timely contracting support across the full acquisition lifecycle - from planning through contract closeout.

Location : Orlando, FL

Employment Type : Full-time (40 hours/week)

Work Schedule : Full-time on-site (5 days per week)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning, development, and execution of contracts in support of federal acquisition programs.
• Ensure all contracts fully comply with federal regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
• Review and analyze acquisition documents for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
• Support contract negotiations, modifications, and amendments as needed.
• Track and monitor contract deliverables, timelines, and performance to ensure all obligations are met.
• Provide expert guidance to project teams and stakeholders on contracting processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Collaborate with contracting officers, program managers, and legal teams to resolve contract-related issues.
• Maintain accurate contract files and documentation in accordance with government requirements.
• Assist with contract closeout procedures, verifying that all obligations are satisfied and proper documentation is complete.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 10+ years of relevant experience in federal acquisition, contract management, and program management with knowledge of FAR and DFARS.
• Solid understanding of federal contracting fundamentals, including solicitation, award, contract types, and administration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Active Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or other federal agencies in contracting.
• Familiarity with procurement systems such as the System for Award Management (SAM) and Procurement Desktop-Defense (PD²).
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly GFEBS.
• Professional certification in federal contracting (e.g., DAWIA or FAC-C).
