This position recruits, onboards, schedules, and oversees volunteers who support Carter BloodCares (CBC) mission through community outreach, brand promotion, donor recognition events, and operational support. The VPEC serves as the primary point of contact for volunteers, cultivating a positive experience that fosters engagement, retention, and alignment with organizational goals. This position demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to excellence in customer service, relationship retention and collaboration./ppThe VPEC exemplifies and champions CBC Core Values and Code of Conduct, and adheres to CBC policies and applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). To support ongoing development and organizational goals, the VPEC is required to attend meetings and training sessions, as assigned. A valid drivers license and an acceptable driving record (as specified in the current Vehicle Safety Loss Control Guidelines) are required. Periodic travel (30%) between assigned work areas to support other locations/projects in Texoma, Central, East and North Texas is required./ppThis position works on a wide range of matters where strict confidentiality is expected, and professional appearance and attendance are essential. Exempt employees are expected to maintain availability beyond standard business hours when business needs arise./ppRegular full-time attendance is required during normal working hours./ph3Qualifications/h3pEducation: Bachelors Degree in nonprofit management, event planning, communications, or related field, or the equivalent of 4 years of related experience/pulliMinimum of 2 years supervising and coordinating volunteers/liliMinimum of 2 years of experience in community outreach and engagement/liliExperience recruiting and training volunteers, preferred/liliNonprofit experience, preferred/liliMust possess a valid drivers license and an acceptable driving record/li/ulpSkills And Knowledge:/pulliHigh-level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Experience with volunteer management software/liliSuperior written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking; Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse groups of volunteers and stakeholders/liliProven organizational, time and project management skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities/liliStrong problem-solving skills, flexibility, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment/liliKnowledge of best practices in volunteer recruitment, management, and retention/liliDemonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team; Takes initiative in making decisions/li/ulpCarter BloodCare is an EEO/Affirmative Action employer.
