IT Financial Analyst

Support the Information Services Division. Salary is up to $75,000, based on education and experience. This is an on‑site position located in Oklahoma City, OK. Position Summary The IT Financial Analyst is responsible for monitoring and analyzing IT expenditures, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals, and supporting financial decision‑making within the IT department. This role serves as a key liaison between IT, Finance, and Procurement teams to route purchase approvals, track spending, and provide accurate reporting on IT financial performance. Key Responsibilities Budget Monitoring & Analysis Track and analyze IT spend across hardware, software, services, and projects. Compare actual expenditures against budget forecasts and identify variances. Provide recommendations for cost optimization and budget adherence. Purchase Approval Routing Review IT purchase requests for compliance with budget and policy. Route approvals through appropriate channels and ensure timely processing. Maintain accurate records of purchase approvals and related documentation. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual IT financial reports for leadership. Develop dashboards and metrics to visualize IT spend trends. Support forecasting and planning activities for IT budgets. Assist in tracking vendor invoices and contract renewals. Ensure proper allocation of costs to projects and cost centers. Compliance & Governance Ensure adherence to organizational financial policies and IT procurement standards. Support audits and provide necessary documentation for IT‑related financial transactions. Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of OMES, partner agencies, and IT Enterprise Governance. Physical Demands and Work Environment This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. Occasional travel may be required. Minimum Qualifications Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field and 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in IT or technology‑related environments.
