Director, Oracle Fusion Financials (New York)

We’re looking for a Director of Oracle Fusion Financials to be the technical cornerstone of our financial ecosystem. You will lead the strategy, implementation, and optimization of our Oracle Cloud ERP, ensuring seamless data flow across General Ledger, Cash Management, AGIS, Payables, and Receivables. Your goal is to transform our financial systems into a scalable, high‑performance platform that empowers our global finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Strategy & Roadmap
  • Architectural Oversight: Ensure the Oracle Fusion Financials suite aligns with global business needs and follows technical best practices.
  • Release Management: Lead quarterly update cycles, manage impact analysis, regression testing, and new feature rollouts to minimize disruption.
• Domain Leadership (Module Expertise)
  • General Ledger & Financial Architecture: Design and maintain Value Sets, Flexfield structures, and Tree Hierarchies; manage hierarchy changes impacting reporting cubes.
  • Ledger Engineering: Configure Primary/Secondary Ledgers, Reporting Currencies, and Ledger Sets; customize Subledger Accounting logic.
  • Configure cross‑validation rules, data access sets, and segment value security.
• Financial Accounting Hub (FAH)
  • Account Rules & Mapping: Design rules for dynamically deriving COA segments and journal line descriptors.
  • Subledger Accounting Methods: Bundle rules into cohesive accounting methods assigned to ledgers.
  • Transaction Types: Categorize business events from legacy systems.
  • Source Data Definition: Define header and line‑level data elements required for accounting rules and reporting.
• Cash Management & Banking
  • Bank Integration: Master secure file transfer (SFTP/PGP) for automated statement retrieval.
  • Reconciliation Engines: Apply Manual and Automated Reconciliation rule sets, tolerance rules, and mapping sets for high‑volume bank statements.
  • External Transactions: Develop automated sweep or zero‑balance logic for global liquidity.
  • Embedded Banking: Configure embedded banking features in Fusion Cash Management.
  • Maintain cash posting rules.
• Payables & Payments
  • Vendor Onboarding: Experience with Oracle Supplier Portal, IDR, or DocIO.
  • Payment File Formatting: Develop ISO 20022, NACHA, and SWIFT templates using BI Publisher.
  • Tax & Withholding: Configure tax engines, rules, regimes, and automated tax logic for cross‑border transactions.
• Fixed Assets
  • Asset Lifecycle Automation: Configure Asset Books, Depreciation Methods, and Prorate Conventions.
  • Mass Additions: Resolve interface issues between AP/Projects and the FA module.
• Accounts Receivable & Collections
  • Auto‑Invoice Architecture: Master the Auto‑Invoice Master Program; debug interface errors and design validation for high‑volume imports.
  • Lockbox & Receipt Processing: Build Auto‑Lockbox formats and Auto‑Match rule sets for accurate receipt application.
• Integration & Data Engineering
  • Ecosystem Connectivity: Partner with Data Engineering to ensure seamless data flow.
  • Reporting Strategy: Lead development of OTBI, BI Publisher, FRS, and FDI reports for real‑time global financial visibility.
• Team & Partner Leadership
  • Talent Development: Manage a team of Oracle Functional Analysts and Technical Developers, fostering agile delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Vendor Management: Act as primary contact for third‑party implementation partners.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Finance; MBA or CPA is a plus.
• Experience: 10+ years in ERP management with at least 5 years in Oracle Fusion Cloud.
• Full Lifecycle Mastery: Proven record leading at least two global, full‑lifecycle Oracle Cloud Financials implementations.
• Deep Functional Knowledge: Expert‑level understanding of GL, FAH, Cash Management, AGIS, AP, and AR modules.
• Technical Literacy: Familiarity with FBDI, ADFDI, Oracle Integration Cloud, and SOAP/REST APIs for financial data.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent communicator: Explain complex SQL and intercompany accounting nuances to stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds.
• Continuous improvement mindset: Aim to reduce Time‑to‑Close and automate manual journal entries.
• SOX & Controls Focus: Strong understanding of controls, audit trails, and segregation of duties in a global context.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hiring Salary Range: $177,000 – $265,000 (NYC, CA, CO, WA, and other geographies).
