Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, encompassing physical examinations and comprehensive medical history assessments
• Assist with the diagnosis and assessment of surgical conditions through the interpretation of imaging results and laboratory findings
• Work closely with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical treatment plans for patients
• Offer crucial intraoperative assistance, from preparing surgical suites to ensuring correct patient alignment and instrument handling during surgeries
• Provide outstanding pre-and post-operative care, which includes medication delivery, wound assessments, discharge planning, and patient education

Education Requirements

• A Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Preference given to candidates who have completed clinical rotations focused on surgery

Certifications Needed

• A current and unrestricted PA-C certification
• Mandatory BLS and ACLS certifications
• Applicable state licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of surgical procedures and adherence to sterile techniques
