Lakewood Ranch Medical Center (LWRMC), located in the heart of the Lakewood Ranch community, has served the people of Lakewood Ranch and surrounding areas since 2004. The medical staff includes more than 750 physicians and allied health professionals who practice in a wide range of specialties. Through the years, LWRMC has expanded its offerings to the people of Manatee and Sarasota counties by growing services and updating technologies to better serve the surrounding communities. Services include emergency services and freestanding emergency department, general and robotic surgery, maternity care, breast health, cardiology, orthopedic surgery, stroke, sleep medicine, urology and wound care. The Certified Pharmacy Technician must be registered by the State of Florida and meet the minimum state requirements as indicated by Florida Statute 465.014. In addition, the pharmacy technician must be nationally certified through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, they assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department and any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent PLUS State certification. Pharmacy technician program with certification; experience preferred. Experience preferred or will train if applicant is conscientious and communicates a desire to learn. Registered by State of Florida and certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board OR Current Pharmacy Intern License State of Florida.
