Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Home Health
Location: Brookings, Oregon
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Setting: Home Health & Hospice
Key Responsibilities
- Implement prescribed physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, and functional mobility.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safe mobility, and the use of assistive devices.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support patient care goals.
- Follow professional standards, infection prevention procedures, and patient confidentiality requirements.
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current, unrestricted Oregon PTA license.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- One year of experience in home health, hospice, or a related setting preferred.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel between patients' homes.
