Accommodations Specialist

Our client is a major transportation agency responsible for connecting communities and supporting mobility across the DC region. The ADA Compliance Specialist will manage life cycle of accommodation requests, ensure compliance with the ADA and ADAAA, and collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate effective accommodations. This is an onsite position in Hyattsville, MD, paying $45.16 per hour. This is a full-time, contract position. Responsibilities Manage the full life cycle of accommodation requests, including administration and case management Ensure program compliance with ADA, ADAAA, and other relevant laws Engage with applicants, employees, medical professionals, and stakeholders to respond to accommodation requests Draft compliant correspondence and facilitate the interactive process Support lactation arrangements and maintain related records Evaluate restrictions and accommodation options considering policies and business priorities Maintain confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) Assist in employee return-to-work assessments and manage employee absence Facilitate communication with medical providers and clinical staff Ensure recordkeeping requirements are met for all accommodation requests Facilitate training within the ADA Compliance Branch Promote a diverse and inclusive work environment Partner with external organizations to explore effective accommodations Qualifications Required: Experience in ADA compliance, case management, or related field Preferred: Knowledge of ADA, ADAAA, and DOL regulations; experience in transportation or public agency environment Technical skills: Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills What We Offer 401K retirement plan Medical and dental benefits for qualifying professionals Flex spending account Pet Insurance Credit Union Membership Sick Leave where mandated by law Worker Advantage discount program membership Voluntary Supplemental Insurance Our Equal Employment Opportunity Policy: Employment Enterprises, Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer.
