Job Description Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. Must be proficient with technology including computers, tablets, and smartphones. Previous call center experience and food service or delivery experience required. Ability to work a rotating 5x8 schedule with possible weekends and holidays. Preferred qualifications include an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or a related field, experience as a diet clerk or aide in an acute care setting, and knowledge of therapeutic diets. Two completed references are required prior to submission. This position is 100% onsite.
Description:
This role supports patient nutrition services in an acute care environment by coordinating menus, ensuring dietary compliance, and enhancing the overall patient experience. The position serves as a key liaison between patients, food service staff, dietitians, and diet technicians while maintaining accuracy in diet orders and menu selections.

Procedures: Review and modify patient menus in accordance with physician and dietitian orders; obtain menu selections at the bedside or by phone while ensuring compliance with dietary restrictions; explain menu substitutions and diet limitations to patients; collaborate with food service staff and nutrition teams to coordinate meals; perform clerical and data entry functions related to menu selections, diet orders, and food preferences; orient patients to the menu system; gather patient feedback, resolve concerns promptly, and communicate issues to leadership; provide input on menu acceptance to support menu development and improvements.
